Spotlighting Abilities, Nurturing Talents
At Pathlight School, we take a proactive stance in uncovering and cultivating abilities and talents through our robust and intentional talent development programmes. Students who show talent and commitment are placed in the school’s Talent Development Programmes to maximise their potential.
Through structured coaching and platforms to showcase their abilities, students are guided to:
- Develop their strengths in the arts, technology, or performance
- Build self-confidence and pursue their passion
These programmes not only support students’ personal development but also celebrate their achievements, helping them feel confident and valued for who they are and what they can accomplish.

Artist Development Programme
About the Artist Development Programme
Launched in April 2011, the Artist Development Programme (ADP) aims to uncover artistic talents in students and develop their potential. Under ADP, professional artists are engaged to work with talented students to nurture their talents.

Some of their works are curated and incorporated into high-quality merchandise sold by The Art Faculty. They earn royalties from the sale of their artworks and merchandise. This helps both students and their families to recognise the value of how their talent, if properly honed and supported by good work habits, will give them a chance to have a dignified source of income.
Artists in ADP are also given opportunities to be involved in public exhibitions, where they learn to promote their art to the general public. To date, 66 students, each with their own special style and art forms, have been identified and put into this programme.
Digital Academy
About the Digital Academy
The Digital Academy at Pathlight School is where students explore the exciting world of technology through creative, hands-on learning experiences. At the heart of what we do is the belief that our students have a natural aptitude for technology. Students are exposed to multifaceted digital literacy programmes that equip them with future-ready digital skills, and are guided to apply them meaningfully beyond school.

Vision
Empowering every learner to grow with digital confidence, self-direction, contribution, and citizenship in a technology-driven world.
Mission
To develop skilful and responsible digital citizens who will live, learn, and work effectively in a technology-driven society.
Digital Learning Outcomes
In the Digital Academy, we develop four key learner identities:
As DigitalNatives, our students lead with heart, practising digital citizenship and using creative communication to connect, collaborate, and contribute meaningfully in the digital world.
As DigitalExplorers, our students are empowered learners who use technology with curious minds to construct knowledge, explore AI and deepen understanding through inquiry.
As DigitalMakers, our students use computational and design thinking to create, code, and craft digital solutions, working with AI tools to tackle real-world challenges.
As DigitalAdvocates, our students lead with purpose, championing environmental stewardship and global citizenship to drive positive change in a smart, green future.
Dance Talent Development Programme
About the Dance Talent Development Programme
Formalised in 2014, the Dance Talent Development Programme (DTDP) aims to uncover and maximise the potential of secondary school and vocational track students who demonstrate an aptitude and passion for dance. Students are specially selected through a stringent audition process.
Under DTDP, students are trained by professional dance trainers and given opportunities to develop and realise their potential to the fullest, such as going on to attain dance certifications. Students are also given platforms to perform and showcase their talent at competitions and events.
