Education Landscape in Singapore
In Singapore, education is typically classified as either "General Education" or "Special Education." Pathlight School provides a holistic curriculum offering the national curriculum and life readiness skills for students on the autism spectrum and related conditions.

Our Holistic Curriculum
Our curriculum is based on a holistic approach that goes beyond academics to support the full development of each student. Our base curriculum is the Singapore national curriculum, which leads to the PSLE and GCE O/N Level (until 2026), and the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (from 2027).
However, we know that this is only part of the curriculum that our students require. They also need various skills and work practices to access the national curriculum. In addition to the usual academic subjects, we offer a comprehensive non-academic curriculum that builds essential life and work-readiness skills, which includes:
- Daily Living Skills
- Leisure Skills
- Digital Literacy Programmes
- Physical Education and Gymnastics
- Behaviour Support Planning and Training
These form the foundation of our holistic education curriculum, ensuring students are equipped for life beyond school.
Our unique features include the following:
- A holistic curriculum offering both academic subjects and life skills (eg social, self-management and communication skills)
- All lessons are taught using autism-friendly pedagogy.
- Small classroom size with a structured group setting.
- Strong on-site autism therapy support.
- Professional consultation for accommodation for access to national examinations.
- School Partnerships for all Secondary School students to promote integration and prepare them for a smoother transition to Institutes of Higher Learning.
- Value-added talent development programmes such as the Digital Academy to equip students with 21st century skills, the Dance Talent Development Programme and the Artist Development Programme to develop talents and abilities.
