Students at both campuses participated in Green Wave 2014, an annual worldwide biodiversity campaign to educate children and youth on the importance of protecting our natural environment. On 22 May each year, at 10am, local time, students in Singapore and around the world will plant locally important trees in their school compounds, creating a figurative "green wave" starting in the far east and travelling west around the world.
Each Pathlight Campus received a Belinjau Tree from NParks and carried out the tree planting ceremony respectively. Pathlighters had an enjoyable time as they took turns to help in the planting. They also wrote down their wishes on protecting the environment, forming colourful "trees".
Through this campaign, students are now more aware of issues on environmental conservation and have better knowledge on how they can contribute to protecting the environment.
