Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) celebrated Pathlight School’s 20th anniversary in conjunction with its annual fundraiser yesterday. The event, “A Very Special Celebration”, aims to raise $1 million for its programmes and services to support adults on the autism spectrum in living quality lives. Held at Pathlight School’s Ang Mo Kio Campus 2, the event was graced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Gan Kim Yong. Close to 3,000 people turned up to show their support for the cause. Ms Denise Phua, President of ARC(S) shared the organisation’s plans to progressively develop and expand its services to empower more individuals on the autism spectrum toward a better quality of life in the community. These initiatives include a residential living pilot, “Life After Death” playbook, lifelong learning and employment opportunities in the Digital, Care and Green economies.
