Our Primary 1 students recently watched a refreshing re-telling of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale, “The Nightingale”, by the Singapore Repertory Theatre. Captivated by the catchy rhymes and songs as well as witty dialogue, they witnessed their favourite book characters come to life. This experience was a great opportunity for them to learn not just how the English language is used beyond the classroom, but also the appropriate theatre etiquette when watching a play.
