In order to inculcate the core values of Pathlight School, P6 students partook in a Community Involvement Programme where they had opportunities to contribute to society. 2015 marks the inaugural year where students’ artistic drawings and doodles were commissioned into a colouring book and packed into goodie bags for the chronically ill children recuperating at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Raffles Medical, Mount Alvernia Hospital and Medical Centre and Thomson Medical Centre.
In addition, our students managed a Pushcart kiosk and sold affordable knickknacks, collectibles, stationery and snacks to fellow classmates, teachers and parents. Through their skilful and charming marketing skills, they successfully raised an amount exceeding $1500 for the chosen beneficiary, Children’s Cancer Foundation.
Indeed, our students’ CIP involvement has provided them a holistic experience to be groomed into socially responsible individuals with a sense of belonging and commitment to society.
