From 26 October to 30 October 2015, a total of 64 students and teachers seized the opportunity to broaden their global outlook through a first-hand experience of a learning journey to the vibrant Australian city of Perth. Coupled with apprehension and enthusiasm, many students experienced flying for the first time in their lives.
A vast array of activities welcomed them to Perth. At the Dolphin Discovery Centre, they touched sea stars, watched octopus feeding and a 3D documentary on wild dolphins in awe. Just as adults, they were ecstatic with their souvenir shopping. At Busselton, they boarded the Jetty Train, and visited the Underwater Observatory where they were intrigued by one of Australia’s greatest artificial reefs. Besides, they discovered about the history and culture of Australia at the Western Australian Museum, did budget shopping at Mandurah Forum, feasted fine dining at Olive Tree Restaurant and got up close with different animals at the Peel Zoo. Perth certainly won a place in our Pathlighters’ hearts!
