Pathlight’s Scouts are subject to no less rigourous training than their counterparts in mainstream schools. Over the June holidays, some of our Scouts participated in the 4-day, 3-night Scout Leadership Course (SLC) which aimed to develop them to assume leadership roles within their troops.
Our Scouts took on the mantle and led their patrol and troop through team building activities, pioneering and orienteering, besides pitching their tents, cooking and leadership courses.
Through the experience, they learned about resilience and self-control as well as achieving win-win situations when working with others. Our Scouts forged stronger friendships and bonds with one another as well as Scouts from other troops over the camp. It was an enriching and rewarding experience for all!
