Last month, our Primary 5 students had their outdoor 2-day-1-night camp in school. Themed “Reach Out, Reach High, Reach Beyond”, the camp focused on building life readiness skills and fostering independence in students. Students were encouraged to step out from the comfort of their homes and experience outdoor activities and communal living such as sleeping in the hall in their sleeping bags! They had fun at the barbecue and even went to the Katapult Trampoline Park for dodgeball and basketball. That is, when they were not racing each other across the trampolines!
In the process, they learned important life skills such as taking care of themselves, building meaningful relationships and learning to work in teams. It was certainly a fantastic experience for all of them!
