Putting the Spotlight on Reading

Putting the Spotlight on Reading

Hearty congrats to our two Primary 2 students who won big at Scholastic Asia’s “Spot On Reading” Read & Write Challenge 2018!

The nation-wide Challenge aims to inspire the love of reading and flair for writing among primary school students. Participants were required to write an original story using the theme of the sample text for their respective levels. This year, the theme for Primary 2 is, "Different Modes of Transportation".

Placed 1st in the Challenge is Tony Tan (Primary 2 Binjai), who wrote about his experience of taking a ferry, a bus and a taxi during his vacation to Moreton Island, Australia. Lee Jin (Primary 2 Camellia) clinched the 2nd Prize with his story on taking the MRT train, a bus and a ferry to the Marine Park on Sisters’ Island, Singapore.

Well done, Tony & Lee Jin!
