Pathlight Learning Festival - Active, applied, authentic

Pathlight Learning Festival - Active, applied, authentic

Pathlighters kick-started the month of July with a week-long Learning Festival. Aimed at bringing to life, lessons learned in English, Mathematics and Science, the festival provided opportunities for our students to engage in active, applied and authentic learning outside the classroom.

Various game stations were set up to provide experiential learning for our students to exercise their skills in the respective subjects. These games did not just depend on individual prowess but also required teamwork with their peers. As part of the learning festival, our students also visited KidzAmaze at SAFRA Toa Payoh where they used their senses to observe and identify the shapes used in KidzAmaze’s tangram structure, as well as practised civics with none other than our beloved Singa, the Courtesy Lion and his friends!

To top it off, students made their own “slime” in class: an eye-opening application of their scientific know-how. All in all, it was a great week of learning and experimentation for our students!
