Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress is a made-in-Singapore musical that was the first-ever musical to be staged right in Esplanade Theatre. The musical is anchored by the music of Cultural Medallion recipient Dick Lee and features a stellar cast that includes Kit Chan, Sebastian Tan, Cheryl Tan and Benjamin Chow.

This year, Forbidden City, like Esplanade, turns 15.

 Close to 40 selected students from 4 CCAs (Performing Arts, Music Ensemble, Choir, Visual Arts) watched the musical yesterday and thoroughly loved it! Ms Kho and Ms Loy were among the audience as well.
