As part of the school’s Parent-School collaboration efforts, a series of seminars for parents with children in Primary and Secondary School was held on 5, 9, 10 February 2015. The seminars which focused on teaching Mathematics concepts to their children, were organised in response to parents’ feedback on the areas of training they would like to have.

 The seminars were conducted Dr Yeap Ban Har, Director of Curriculum and Teacher Development at Pathlight School. A well-known name in the area of mathematics education and lesson study, Dr Yeap is an experienced educator. He is also Singapore’s country specialist for the APEC Lesson Study Project.

 The sessions saw lively exchanges between parents and trainer with many important and useful tips given. It was a meaningful experience for parents as they discover new ways to engage their child in learning Mathematics!
