The 49th Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Art Exhibition 2017 was held from 6 to 16 July 2017. It celebrates the artist in every child by showcasing children’s creative ideas, personal aspirations and hard work. In 2017, the exhibition features 513 artworks by over 3000 students.
Two Pathlighters had their artworks selected by the SYF committee. Theresa Fong, from Primary 3 Fernwood class with her artwork entitled, “Outer Space” and Ethan Lim, from Primary 1 Piper class with his artwork entitled, “Happy Faces, Pretty Space” were awarded the Certificate of Recognition. Their art pieces were also displayed in the Singapore Youth Festival Art Exhibition at SCAPE, The Ground Theatre on 15 July 2017.
An award ceremony was held in respective Pathlight School campuses to recognise and present the award recipients with the certificates.
