Into the second year of partnership with UBS, this year 111 students from the Primary 1 Standard cohort went on a sponsored outing to the Singapore Zoological Gardens with more than 120 USB Staff and family. Besides touring the zoo, students had the opportunity to attend a learning session on insects and invertebrates where they had the opportunity to touch and feel different kinds of insects such as the stick insect and giant millipede. The session allowed students to experience in an authentic setting the topics they have been taught in class during the term. It was a refreshing outing for both the students and volunteers as they got to interact with one another. The students were even treated to KFC lunch before they parted!
